SELF ISOLATION  HAIR CARE TIPS.

Self-isolation? Well then, maybe it’s time for a little self-care?

COLOUR

Root regrowth are most people’s main concerns at the moment but unfortunately professional colour needs to be applied by a professional colourist. If colour is applied by a non professional not only is it extremely difficult to match up the existing colour ,it's impossible not to overlap the colour and most importantly it can cause extreme sensitivity.Try changing your parting or adding a zig zag to your parting.Concentrate on  maintaining the roots to end of your salon applied colour before self isolation.Use a color conserve shampoo and conditioner and add a colour strengthening treatment. All of these will make your colour more fade resistant .We would also recommend opting for sulphate free shampoos.Wear a hat while out walking which is not only to cover your roots but also to protect your hair from harmful and penetrating sun rays.

For anyone who has balayage hair it's the perfect time to be on trend and let your roots grow.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

If you're searching for gorgeous looking hair then look no further than the food you are eating. Now that we all have more time on our hands make sure to include lots of oily fish, such as salmon.Add lots of eggs, pulses, walnuts ,almonds and loads of leafy greens.Eating a regular healthy diet will make a huge difference to the condition and the glossiness of your hair.

DON'T JUST WASH YOUR HANDS WASH YOUR HAIR

With no set routine in place it could be very easy to slip up on  washing your hair on a daily basis. It's essential to cleanse your hair on a regular basis and now you have the time to give it an amazing scrub and cleanse the scalp. Properly shampooed hair is always so much easier to blow dry and you will feel so much better as starting the day with freshly washed hair is always a feel good factor. Also make sure to wash your hand regularly.

MASK IT UP

If using a hair masque is something that you don't normally do due to the fact that you don't have the time then now is the perfect time to start. Use a moisturizing masque for dry hair and a protein masque for over processed or damaged hair. These will deliver long lasting moisture and help repair damaged hair.

PRACTISE YOUR BLOW DRYING TECHNIQUES

Mastering the perfect salon blow dry takes practise patience and time…...perfect while self-isolating. Make sure to use heat protectant  prepping products, the right tools and brushes.Use hair clips to separate your hair into manageable sections. Make sure to set your hair dryer at low to medium heat to avoid over drying.
